FUNDRAISER FOR PERMANENT CEILING - PILSEN HALL BOOK AND ART SALE, through May 2012. Join us through May 2012 between 10:00am and 4:00pm for our first ever book and art sale in Pilsen Hall. You will be treated to free admission to the museum, Prague International Gifts Shop, and the viewing of our 1,289 piece spectacular Ottervik Czech glass/ceramics collection produced for export only between the two World Wars. 1918-1938. Book genres include novels, detectives, mysteries, biographies, cookbooks and collectibles! We also have a variety of framed and unframed artwork and much more! We look forward to seeing you. You will be glad you came!

 

CZECHOSLOVAKIAN COLLECTORS ASSOCIATION ANNUAL CONVENTION.The Association’s Annual Convention convenes in Pilsen Hall on June 7, 8, & 9, 2012.  Featured speakers include Jerico Mora, Debbie Truitt on "The Glassworks of the Counts Harrach - 300 Years of Quality and Innovation". Information about identification of Czech Glass will be presented. CCMH member Rosie Bodien speaks on Brychta figurines. Jaroslav Brychta was a professor at the Secondary School of Glass Studies in Zelezny Brod, which was founded in 1925 who designed a method of making Hutnicky Tvarovane Sklo glass figurines and CCMH member Jean Blaha Davis of Texas. Examples of these can be seen at the Museum and currently on the website on the "Collection of the Month" page.
