This year, just like last year, the Czech Center Museum Houston joins the Bike Challenge organized by the Czech Embassy in Washington, D.C. to celebrate the anniversary of the establishment of the independent Czechoslovak state.
As soon as you cycle or run a set number of kilometers, take a picture with a prop in the form of a Czech flag, in a cap or T-shirt with a flag, maybe with a kolache in your hand. There are no limits to your imagination. Then either email the photo to social@czechcenter.org or share it on Facebook and/or Instagram and tag @czechcentermusuemhouston and also @czechembassydc, remembering to use the hashtag #czechembassybikechallenge.
Organizing a ride is more fun with friends. Please mark your calendars for Sunday, October 13, at Terry Hershey Park at 11 AM, when we will meet in the Memorial Bend Pocket Park and take this challenge as a collective joint activity.
For the youngest children, we will measure a route 1918 meters long, the older of us will ride the prescribed 19.18 km on bikes or run 11.17 km.
